Rava Idli Recipe


Ingredients:

• 1 cup Rava
• Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp grated and crushed Ginger
• 2-3 finely chopped Green Chilies
• 1 tsp channa dal
• 1/4 tsp Soda bicarb
• 3/4 cup grated Carrot
• few chopped Coriander leaves
• 2 tbsp grated coconut
• 1 Cup yogurt/curd
• Oil
• Salt to taste

Method:
• Dry roast the rava till aroma comes out/turns light brown • Heat Oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add ginger, green chilies and channa dal.
• Remove from heat and add the rava and mix well.
• Add salt, soda bicarb, carrot, coriander leaves, coconut, curd and form a batter. Leave it aside for about 30 mins.
• If required, you can add more curd to make it to idli batter consistency.
• Grease the Idli plates with some oil or ghee, and pour the batter. Steam for 15-20 minutes. Remove, drizzle some ghee and enjoy with Peanut Chutney, or Sambhar.
