Double Ka Meeta Recipe




Ingredients:

• 1 loaf of White Bread
• 1lt Milk
• 500 gm Sugar
• 250 gm Double Cream
• Ghee
• Nuts and raisins
• pinch of Cardamom powdered
• few strands of saffron to garnish

Method:
• Cut each bread slice into four pieces. Fry them in ghee till golden brown• Boil half a litre of water and sugar. Add the powdered cardamom. Allow it to form a syrup. Keep aside.
• Boil milk until it is thickened.
• Arrange the fried bread pieces on a flat tray. Pour the sugar syrup, double cream and milk alternately over the bread pieces while they are still hot.
• Garnish with the nuts, raisins, saffron. Can serve it hot or cold.
