Kozhi Vellai Kurma Recipe




Ingredients:

• 300 gms( cleaned and cubed) - Chicken
• 1 finely sliced Onion
• 1 finely chopped Tomato
• Green chillies
• 1 inch piece Ginger
• 3 cloves Garlic
• 2 tbsp Curd
• few Mint leaves
• 1/2 cup Coconut milk
• Cloves
• Cinnamon
• Cardamom
• Oil
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp Cashewnut paste

For seasoning:
• 1 Bay leaf
• 1 Cinnamon
• 2 Clove
• 2 Green cardamom

Method:
• Saute the ginger, garlic, green chillies in a tbsp of oil for a minute or two. Grind them to a fine paste.
• Dry roast the clove , cinnamon and cardamom. Powder them and keep aside.
• In a pan heat 2 tbsp of oil and season with the whole garam masala.
• Add the onions and fry.
• Now add the ground paste, powdered ingredients, tomatoes. Fry till the raw smell of the masala disappears and the oil begins to float on the top.
• Add the chicken pieces, mint leaves, salt. Stir well for 2 to 3 mins, so that the chicken pieces are well coated with the masala.
• Now add the coconut milk, cashew paste.
• Cover and cook till the chicken pieces are tender.
